About Shawn Johnson
Shawn Johnson East is an American Olympic gold medalist, author and lifestyle creator whose journey from Des Moines Iowa, to global acclaim inspires millions. At just 16, she captured the gold medal on the balance beam and three silver medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, becoming one of Team USA’s most memorable gymnasts. After retiring from competitive gymnastics in 2012, Shawn won Dancing with the Stars and transitioned into storytelling, broadcasting, and business. She’s also a New York Times bestselling author and co‑hosts the popular Couple Things podcast with her husband, NFL alum Andrew East, with whom she shares three children and a life rooted in family and wellness.
