About Mackenzie Porter
MacKenzie Porter is a Canadian-born, Nashville-based country music artist, songwriter, actress and entertainer who has built a significant career on both sides of the U.S.-Canadian border. Originally from Medicine Hat, Alberta, she moved to Nashville to pursue music and signed with Big Machine Records. Porter has achieved multiple No. 1 singles at Canadian country radio and became the first female artist in the 21st century to earn six Canadian country radio No. 1s. She has toured with artists including Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Walker Hayes, while her acting credits include Netflix's Travelers. Her 2024 album Nobody's Born With a Broken Heart expanded her U.S. profile, and she subsequently launched the Thelma & James project with husband Jake Etheridge.
